Alycia Debnam Carey has appeared in television shows including Fear the Walking Dead. As a child she began acting at the age of 8 in Sydney, Australia. Martha's New Coat was her first role in acting. Her TV debut came in an episode from the TV show McLeod's Daughter. Her first major work was her recurring role on the sci fi television series The 100. The show is based off The 100 novel. The character she played was Commander Lexa who was an imposing chief of twelve clans. She gained even more popularity as she appeared on Fear the Walking Dead - the horror TV series. The series has received a positive review from critics. The series also earned multiple awards and nominations. Jigsaw Girl as well as The Branch are other short films in which she has appeared. Her debut feature film was the disaster film Into the Storm, which included found footage. The movie was quite successful commercially, however it was mostly met with unfavourable critiques.
